There is nothing we love more here at Kavaliro than football and kids. We are proud to announce that we will again be the title sponsor for the 4th Annual Kick Off For Kids Event. Back in 2011, Kavaliro started a quarterly food drive to help local public school food pantries and backpack programs. This program soon evolved into Kick Off for Kids (501-c3), a non-profit organization dedicated to ensure all students have the proper nourishment to sustain the focus needed to achieve academic success. Kick Off For Kids is able to purchase food on a quarterly basis with the funds raised at it's annual event that coincides with the kick off of the NFL season. Since the first Kick Off For Kids event in 2013, President Lisa Moore, has seen tremendous growth in the company.
“It is so humbling and touching to see a community come together to help their own. It takes a village to raise our future and the growing support Kick Off For Kids is receiving is a huge indication that Central Florida wants the best for their children”.
To date, Kick Off For Kids has been able to provide 35,000 pounds of food and support 12 local schools.
“To go from 2 schools to 12 in four years has been wonderful, but this year I was approached by 2 new schools needing help”, said Moore. “I am hoping the funds raised at the 2016 event will allow us to add these 2 schools and bring our total of schools supported to 14”.
The event will be on Thursday, September 8th at Rock & Brews in Oviedo from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
Moore added that, “We still have a couple of tables sponsorships and over a dozen individual tickets remaining. I would love to see this event sold out!” Last year Kick Off For Kids was able to help raise over $20,000 to benefit our local community.
