Kavaliro Intern Spotlight

Kavaliro Intern Spotlight

At Kavaliro, we love to help positively influence students who are eager to begin their journey into the working world. With that said, we are happy to welcome our newest interns, Erica Garcia and Michael Ingram.

Michael Ingram

Michael is in his second year at the University of Central Florida Honors College, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Mass Communication.  Since starting at Kavaliro, he has been involved in projects ranging from recruiting to accounting to public relations.   His primary focus so far has been to assist in proofreading and help with organizing the recent White Paper detailing the Affordable Care Act.

“Everyone in the office has been so kind and welcoming, I truly feel like an integral part of the Kavaliro team,” said Michael.

Michael is very involved on the UCF campus.  He works as a Resident Assistant for the Department of Housing and Residence Life.  Following through with his love of politics and government, he also serves as a senator for the College of Sciences in the Student Government.  Michael is a brother of the Zeta Beta Tau social fraternity and holds the position of Philanthropy Chair. As community work is very important to Kavaliro, Michael fits right in with his love of volunteering and involvement with the Children’s Miracle Network in his spare time.

ericagarciaErica Garcia

Erica is a senior at the University of Central Florida and is excited to be the first college graduate in her family. She is receiving her bachelor’s degree in Human Communications with a minor in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Erica is active in both the Delta Epsilon Iota honors society and Golden Key Honors society at UCF for academic achievement.

In her free time, Erica also finds joy in helping people in her community. Erica spent her summer working at a school for children with Autism as a behavioral therapist. This experience allowed Erica to gain more knowledge within her minor and inspired her to find a lifelong career that would benefit others. While shadowing one of the recruiters at Kavaliro, Erica was able to experience first-hand the rewarding feeling when placing an individual with a job. She has found that working with Kavaliro is a great way to satisfy her future professional goals. Since starting at Kavaliro, Erica has worked with budget reports, recruiting, updating our database and is eager to learn more about the recruiting side of the company and hopes to one day “get on the horn.” Erica is excited to be a part of the team and appreciates everyone being so welcoming and helpful.

Michael and Erica will be with Kavaliro for the rest of the 2014 spring semester, and are both so excited to be kicking off his professional career training with our team.  Join us in welcoming these two great interns to Kavaliro! Thank you both for your hard work, we are so happy to have you!
