Kavaliro, a national staffing firm with offices in Orlando, Tampa and Charlotte, announced it has been certified as a Minority Owned Business Enterprise (MBE) by The Central & North Florida Minority Supplier Development Council. This certification enables Kavaliro to be listed in the national database of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) that can be accessed by 39 regional minority-purchasing councils and hundreds of corporations across the country.
Kavaliro’s main goal is to provide the highest level of service to those it works with. The executive team and staff believe diversity helps the company find the best solutions and implement the most creativity for its clients and its corporate culture. Kavaliro is devoted to the promotion of diversity throughout its workplace and believes that diversity provides greater career opportunities for everyone working in recruiting and staffing.
“Our business strategy is committed to building diversity and by obtaining and maintaining the MBE certification we are able to further our clients’ achievements and goals,” Kavaliro CEO Diane Mahony said. “We are thrilled with our MBE certification and look forward to reaching new clients, industry leaders and professionals seeking the same diversity and creativity that Kavaliro does.”
A certified minority-owned business is a for-profit enterprise, regardless of size, tangibly located in the United States or its trust territories, which is owned, operated and controlled by minority group members. Those considered minority group members are United States citizens who are Asian, Black, Hispanic and Native American. The NMSDC has standardized procedures to assure consistent and identical review and certification of minority-owned businesses. Each business must be at least 51% owned by such individuals or, in the case of a publicly owned business, at least 51% of the stock. Those minority group members must also control the management and daily operations.
“Here at Kavaliro, we fuel success by being able to provide the best staffing and recruiting candidates to our clients by understanding the underlying needs of everyone involved,” Kavairo CEO Diane Mahony said. “We are able to achieve close relationships with the companies we work with, utilize our cutting-edge technology and implement savvy staffing strategies to achieve a national reach by utilizing the company’s diversity and staff’s individual strengths.”
