Wai Tiki was a perfect venue for this tropical fundraising event. Appetizers and drinks were accompanied with live “island” music. The evening was spent meeting many wonderful people and bidding on silent auction items. Great event for a great cause. On July 18, 2003, the Darrell Armstrong Foundation for Premature Babies, Inc. and Florida Hospital East opened the Darrell Armstrong Child Development Center. The Center provides services for premature babies and their families in Central Florida throughout the child’s developmental years. The Center serves children and families affected by premature birth who have limited resources by making diagnosis and treatment more accessible to needy families by offering a team of specialists to provide treatment for children who were born prematurely and are not currently receiving early intervention services. These services include specialized equipment, physical therapy, psychological therapy, consultation and medical advice.
