Client:
A Global Multibillion Dollar Healthcare Company
Scope of Work:
IT Technician employments for large scale power downs
Kavaliro's Part:
Unplugging your IT equipment seems like a mundane task when you’re done with work for the day. However, when an entire building must be powered down because a new generator is to be installed, unplugging IT equipment is crucial in saving your equipment from potential damage. Large office buildings power down for various reasons and when IT equipment is still plugged into outlets, there is a chance these power downs can cause lightning surges that can fry your work computers and other electronic peripherals. Lots of boots on the ground has been our solution! Typically, these power downs occur in the late evening or early morning, or over the weekend when the office building is empty. We employ large teams of technicians that can run through your entire office building and quickly unplug your equipment, and then return to plug all equipment back in. While this seems like a simple task there’s heaps of planning that goes into this process. Schematics of the building and each floor is marked, teams are assigned to specific areas, and we all work together to sweep each area and floor. Our skilled team is prepared to mitigate any issues that arise and relay them to the Project Manager. There hasn’t been an issue we couldn’t solve.
