At Kavaliro we strive to remain ahead of the curve by being competitive while at the same time always being team players. Many of our staff members have been able to transfer talents they possess on the playing field into their daily work in staffing and recruiting at Kavaliro. We are so proud to highlight some of our employees who have been successful in the competitive sports world, and can utilize those skills in their daily work at our office.

Natalie Diaz

Position at Kavaliro: Resource Manager, Orlando, FL
Position on the field: Knightmoves Dancer at University of Central Florida
Sports to Work - Words of wisdom: Everyone that plays sports wants to win. That’s the goal—whether it is to beat out the other team, beat your last score, beat a record, or a combination of all of these things. At Kavaliro we want to win too. We want to beat our competition by providing the best services to our candidates, our clients and our employees. However, with competition comes resilience. In competitive sports you may not win every single time, but you must be resilient every single time you lose. You have to be prepared to bounce back from a loss with a better game plan than you went into the last one with. At Kavaliro, coming up with better game plans is what drives us and is why we will always be striving for greater things.

Angel Diaz

Position at Kavaliro: Director of Recruiting, Orlando, FL
Position on the field:
Catcher for Anaheim Angels Baseball
Sports to Work – Words of Wisdom: You have to be part of  a group that is heading towards the same goal which is Victory!  Each member has to do their part for the team to succeed.  Without continuity, failure is inevitable. Trusting in your teammate that they will do their job is key! "The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. You may have the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world, but if they don't play together, the club won't be worth a dime."   Babe Ruth

Chase Geaney

Position at Kavaliro: Resource Manager, Orlando,FL
Position on the field:
Linebacker for USF Bulls Football
Sports to Work – Words of Wisdom: Playing competitive sports prepares you in so many ways for life in the business world, especially here at Kavaliro. The thing that stands out in my mind the most is how sports teaches you how to be competitive in a constructive way, and that is so vital here at Kavaliro. You have to want to be the best, because you work with so many talented people. By constantly striving to be the best individual you can be, you make the team stronger and better at the end of the day while still keeping the company’s goals in mind.

Ryley Fitzsimmons

Position at Kavaliro: Resource Manager, Charlotte, NC
Position on the field: Men’s Golfer at Hastings College, Nebraska
Sports to Work – Words of Wisdom: To win at golf it takes consistency over 18 or even 72 holes.  Many golfers have great days and breaking course records, but they aren’t necessarily the ones who win the tournament.  It takes good play, on every hole, day in and day out to be really successful.  This also holds true in the world of IT staffing, especially in the competitive IT market where one wants to work with a company such as Kavaliro that really understands the industry, and has a long track record of success.  Any firm can get lucky with an “ace” contractor placement but it is better in the long run to work with someone who understands how to recruit in all conditions.

Matt Rowles

Position at Kavaliro: Business Development Manager, Charlotte, NC
Position on the court: Guard/Forward for University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Men’s Basketball
Sports to Work – Words of Wisdom: Playing a competitive sport, at any level, correlates to working at Kavaliro in many ways.  The first aspect is setting and accomplishing goals because in both sports and recruiting setting attainable goals are a key aspect to success.  Second, competitive sports forces a person to work as a team to accomplish those goals.  While recruiting may seem like an individual feat (and many of our accolades are based on individual performance), working as a team can result in much greater success that working to benefit only yourself.  Third, the competitive nature that exists in athletes is essential to becoming successful in our industry.  The competition is immense; there are hundreds of other firms in any given market that provide similar services as Kavaliro.  We must always strive to provide a better level of service, a better candidate quicker, and an overall better experience than our competitors.  Embracing that competition and facing it head on is the only way to succeed.

Andrew “Drew” Rankin

Position at Kavaliro: Area Director, Tampa, FL
Position on the field: Shortstop and Pitcher University of Kentucky Baseball/Emory & Henry College/ Minors-Independent team Ashville, N.C./Phillies Organization Rookie Ball-Player development/Scouting & coaching for the American Baseball Institute
Sports to Work – Words of Wisdom: If you have a background in Playing Competitive Sports, then you will always have the drive to be competitive in life and especially in your particular line of work. This is especially true in the competitive profession of sales and/or staffing/recruiting. “Work Hard Play Hard”

Victor Gray

Position at Kavaliro: Resource Manager, Orlando, FL
Position on the field: Defensive tackle and Defensive end, University of Central Florida Football
Sports to work - Words of Wisdom: The team work as well as leadership stays the same transitioning from athletics into working for Kavaliro. I take the same approach as I did with football and practice hard, practice right, and help to improve those around me. “You can have a bad play/call but you can’t have a bad day,” refuse to lose. I do the best I can in life and help as many people as I can along the way. Someone once wrote an article about me stating that I’m not just an impact player on the field but an impact person on life. I strive to change people’s lives for the better even if it is just by a little bit.

Thanks to all of our talented athletes who have chosen to join team Kavaliro!
