Consultant of the Month: Eric Doctor

Each month, Kavaliro shines the spotlight on our stand-out consultants. For the month of July, we have the privilege and pleasure to name Eric Doctor as our Consultant of the Month.

On the nomination we received from his Resource Manager, she stated that, “He is a leader of the team at Orange County and a great guy!” Eric is an exemplary employee who spreads positivity in all of his interactions. His inclination towards service-oriented roles stems from his desire to create wonderful experiences for others. This passion led him to his current career, where his favorite part of his job as a Telecom Technician, is making service contacts smile.

Eric is originally from Allendale, SC and is currently living in Orlando, FL where he enjoys fishing and rooting for his favorite college football team, Florida State University. Although he didn't attend college at FSU, his daughter, Erica, has recently graduated with her Criminology degree from there, showcasing a family connection to the institution. He also wanted to send a special shoutout to his son, Eric Jr., who recently graduated from East Carolina University with his degree in Communications.

Keeping on with Eric’s hobbies, every fisherman has his “story” and here it is: “Though I enjoy it, I’m not very good at fishing. The biggest fish I’ve caught is probably the one I bought at the fish market. Haha. Funny story though…the biggest and most memorable fish I’ve actually caught was a 6lb bass. I was nervous when I went to take him off the hook, the fish wriggled free from my hand, flopped around on the ground, and jumped back in the water!”

What is something that Eric is most proud of? Winning his Parent of the Year award! Eric's enthusiasm and love for being a parent is truly inspiring. He is most proud of this award, a heartwarming recognition from his children that he received when they were in middle school (they’re both in their 20s now). “I’ve played basketball all my life and won numerous trophies and awards, but this one will always be the most special to me,” says Eric.

Being an advocate for continuous learning, Eric is currently working on learning how to manage large projects by scaling them down, so they’re completed in a professional and time efficient manner. He is grateful to represent Kavaliro within the Orange County government. His outstanding character and dedication embody Kavaliro's core values. We are fortunate to have him as a consultant as he continues to make a significant impact.
