Consultant of the Month: Holly Neal

We’re thrilled to introduce you to Kavaliro’s Consultant of the Month for May, Holly Neal. An Ohio native who now resides in North Carolina, Holly brings an incredible wealth of knowledge and a special passion to our team. Her deep commitment to growth and her impressive background in technology have shaped a truly remarkable personal and professional journey.

Holly’s extraordinary passion for technology began early, sparked when she wrote her first set of code in 1993 while attending a local college in Cincinnati, Ohio. Since then, she has built an outstanding career, possessing deep expertise in information technology, coding, systems analysis, and data management and governance that spans more than 33 years. Her professional journey has been an astonishing testament to her commitment to innovation and lifelong learning.

Holly’s daily work environment is incredibly dynamic, and she absolutely thrives when connecting with others. She notes that her favorite part of her job is engaging business stakeholders in data migration and implementation projects. This collaborative process allows her to deeply understand cross-functional areas and gain invaluable insight into the functional roles and resources required to make the projects she supports a resounding success.

Outside of work, Holly is deeply intentional about reinvesting her own resources into her most valuable assets: education, health, and wellness. She loves spending her free time creating digital products and educational content designed for people of all ages.

Her inspiration to excel in a mostly male-dominated field like information technology came after a powerful realization about personal growth. As she explains, “Education is a choice. Either a person chooses to invest in themselves, or they accept their path without complaining or blaming others.” While she notes that a college degree isn't strictly required to be successful, she credits her education with unlocking numerous doors along her incredible journey.

Always looking towards the future and finding new ways to innovate, Holly is currently channeling her superior technological skills into developing cutting-edge AI tools and digital products that can be used by members within underrepresented communities. This inspiring work focuses heavily on data analytics and quantifying performance measurement statistics, showcasing her exceptional ability to use technology to make a meaningful, positive impact.

When reflecting on what she is most proud of, Holly points to her faith walk and her monumental academic achievements. Her phenomenal dedication to learning includes earning a bachelor's degree, two master's degrees, and a doctorate. Her highest degree earned in academia is a Doctor of Education in Higher Education, while her highest degree earned in information technology is a Master of Science in Information Technology Management.

The entire team is immensely proud of Holly’s outstanding accomplishments and her inspiring vision for the future. Her commitment to education, a continuous growth mindset, and technological excellence sets an incredibly high standard for all.
